At FC VVC, we believe that finances should never be a barrier to playing sports. Football contributes to a child’s social and physical development, and we want everyone to have the opportunity to participate. Fortunately, there are several initiatives available if the membership fee is a challenge. Below you will find various options that can help you.
The Leergeld Foundation helps children aged 4 to 18 participate in sports and other activities. This gives them the chance to join in, make friends, and develop in a positive environment. Parents and guardians who struggle with paying membership fees can apply for support through this foundation.
If the family budget is insufficient for sports, the Youth Sports Fund can offer a solution. An application can be submitted through a professional involved in your child’s development (e.g., teacher, GP, or social worker). After approval, the Youth Sports Fund pays the membership fee directly to the club.
For adults with a family income up to 120% of the statutory minimum wage, the Meerwaarde Foundation offers financial support. Through the Front Door Team, a budget of up to €125 per year can be requested for membership fees.

Many health insurance providers reimburse a portion of sports membership fees, but not everyone is aware of this. So, be sure to check the terms and conditions of your health insurance to see what’s possible. This often involves a contribution of approximately €50 per child. More and more of our members are taking advantage of this.
