All new players are warmly welcomed by the staff. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have been busy for several weeks with training sessions in preparation for the competition start in September. The training sessions were quite intensive with a variety of new game forms. This is to achieve the right approach for how Brian and VVC would like to play. A different setup from last year.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 1:30 PM the match discussion began. Brian delivered a good tactical talk in the pre-match briefing about how VVC should play, what the field positioning should look like, corners both attacking and defending. Today the key words were:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intensity (not starting the match sluggishly and putting up a fight)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Field positioning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applying pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working as a team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doing everything to prevent the opponent from scoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coverage of at least 3 players in front of the goal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-confidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proving yourself that you belong in the squad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executing your own tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bringing something extra at the right moments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The will to go all out for 90 minutes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clearly indicated by the coach that there is belief in getting the best out of the person (read footballer) and the team, by listening, coaching and working hard where we can achieve exceptional results together.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In short, we are convinced that by working together as a team, this new season will define a future. We can make VVC grow and flourish as a team, and work towards the desired situation; championship of the 4th division and next season a move up to the 3rd division. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The match started at 3:00 PM due to a delay and VVC started very sharp and playing good football from kickoff. Pressure was applied to Hoofddorp all over the field and many duels were won. Multiple times good progress was made from both wing attackers Ben on the left and Jamil on the right. This resulted in our new striker Tom having the ball in the net after just 2 minutes. Unfortunately this goal was disallowed for offside. Tom had promised me to either score 4 times or give 4 assists. It was refreshing how Tom filled this new position. He fought hard and gave his teammates the opportunity to excel in front of goal. After a few minutes, by again applying good pressure, Ben got into an excellent position, a well-set-up chance, but due to his eagerness this ball was shot over.        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately Kay was substituted after 15 minutes due to an injury. Kay, the ruler of midfield, was replaced by Roy.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 22 minutes, many excellent runs and a good action by Ben, he put the 1-0 on the scoreboard. Confidence grew and things that were practiced in training I now saw back in the match. We continued to play good football which after 27 minutes resulted in 2-0 through a beautiful goal by Jesse.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remarkable was the chemistry and connection between Roy and Ben. They continuously found each other through good runs and excellent passes. A beautiful action by Ben was excellently finished by Roy, 3-0. After a good action by Roy which resulted in cuts and turns by Ben and a wonderfully beautiful goal, 4-0.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, when Marco also starts scoring, the floodgates open. After an excellent cross from Jesse, Marco headed it in hard, 5-0.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 5-0 on the scoreboard we went to halftime. During the break Brian went through things once more. He was very enthusiastic about the displayed play. As agreed we would give it our all for 90 minutes.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We dominated the first twenty minutes of the match, but it was of slightly lesser quality than the complete first half. After 26 minutes Jamil came through well again and Ben made it 6-0. We kept looking for the flanks often with Jamil&#8217;s speed and now Djaro could score, 7-0.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We found our rhythm again like in the first half and after many good combinations Marco managed to score his second, 8-0. Djaro came through excellently on the left and his good cross was tapped in by Tim, 9-0. Unfortunately Hoofddorp scored with their good striker to make it 9-1.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Summary:<\/strong> defensively gave nothing away with Neal, Remco and Julius at the helm who all played an excellent match. Both fullbacks executed their tasks excellently. Ivar and Emre executed their first defensive task well and came through nicely from the flanks.   <br\/>Midfield coverage excellent, where the entire midfield played an excellent match with Marco, Jesse and Roy. The men kept each other very sharp, good communication and often connecting forward at the right moments. Marco and Jesse are known to me for what they can do, but I became very enthusiastic about the play that Roy put on display as a substitute. Good runs, passes even with the outside of his foot that arrived well. Roy, get even fitter and expand on this, then I hope to enjoy a lot from you this season.<br\/>The front line with Ben, Tom and Jamil played very strong. All worked very hard and were involved in the goals and many good actions.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final conclusion:<\/strong> we managed to deliver a good performance as a team and can be proud of the displayed play. Only point of attention; try to maintain this for an entire match. Naturally with the necessary substitutions.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I look forward to the start of the competition. We have a good squad, an excellent coach with Frank at his side and I&#8217;m counting on a championship with many points and good football. Promotion to the 3rd DIVISION!   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>NB I will try to keep the upcoming reports a bit shorter!
